Scavenger Hunt

I'm sidestepping this Friday's Eyecandy report to bring you a contest entry submission for Erin.

A scavenger hunt! It was fun, but time sure flies when you're looking for certain somethings. This was fun Erin, especially when I upped and ran away from my husband in the middle of a conversation to get the camera and chase the ice cream truck that tauntingly drove right by my face. I think a photo of his expression would have be funnier.

The Hunt List:

Knitter in public

Easy. I see these every week

Ice cream truck

Bad picture I know, keep those cameras on your person at all times folks!

A Sock

It is so!

Library Card

I told you I can read

Ball of green yarn

But of course!

Bicyclist

I see these all the time too, us living in the same neighborhood and all.

Street Sign

Not fancy, but it’s mine

Flower

It is kind of fancy. The petals feel like velvet

Public work of art

Le mountain by the Hulk (rollercoaster) at Universal Studios, Orlando, FL
Because we’re so well traveled

My reflection in an unexpected place

I don’t remember what I was trying to photograph here, but all I got was me

Someone in a catalogue pose

This season’s grads

Funny billboard or sign

I know of really funny one, I just never thought to photograph it, so here’s a funny joke:

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a
particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where
they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.
>
>Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their
travel schedules. So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on
Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day. The husband checked
into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an
email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her
email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email.
>
> Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home
from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory
following a heart attack. The widow decided to check her email expecting
messages from relatives and friends.
>
> After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted. The
widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw
the computer screen which read:
>
> To: My Loving Wife
>
> Subject: I've Arrived
> Date: October 16, 2004
>
> I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here
now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just
arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared
for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your
journey is as uneventful as mine was.
>
> P.S. Sure is freaking hot down here!

And that concludes my scavenger hunt. Happy Friday!

That looks like a lot of fun. A photo scavenger hunt would be a lot of fun on a vacation...with a lot of options for pictures.
