Die Candy Friday

What would happen to your blog if something happened to you? It dawned on me the other day that if I were to unravel to the big yarn shop in sky, who would know? Who would care for that matter, but how do I get the word out without all that inconvenience of coming back from beyond and scaring the shit out of all my friends and family? And so, the Last Post and Testament was born. No pun intended.

This burden task would typically fall on a family member who should will probably be an enlightened muggle. This little document will serve to further confuse the living daylights out of help them in one of their many tasks in finalizing your worldly pleasures duties. I'm also writing instructions on how they can sell off my stash and supplies, they'll need that to tap into my retirement fun funds.

I've thought of this, too. Dale wouldn't have a clue of how to post to my blog!

How convenient!

Good idea.

Jim knows all too well how to post to my blog (see Exhibit A, when he posted my promotion announcement without removing the company name and identifying information!) so I don't have to worry about it too much. But someone else's blog (Anti-M and the Rickety Blog) brought up the good point today of bequeathing yarn! To stay on the morbid topic!

Disturbing....but funny as hell!! I can only picture my hubby reading that document, looks like the BFF will have to take his place.

What's sad, is I followed for a while a knitblogger that got cancer and sadly passed away. Her husband was a real trooper and posted her progress quite often on her blog.

Me? I'm just gonna keep you all guessing. Screw Elvis sightings--Ladies and Gentlemen, the curlers have left the LYS!

Holy hell Carol. I hope your husband's prepared, let it be known that after the funeral there will be a yarn crawl at your house ;-) I love you and you better never leave us for the big LYS in the sky!!
With that said, great post :D

The other one has been deleted. I had to stop paying for the service in order to pay for my new one.

I think pre-planning for your stash and your blog is... responsible.

Oh, Carol, I'm definitely going to have to read your blog. You're a chica after my own heart. And I don't mean that in a morbid way.

I enjoyed your enlightening blog. Al and I have discussed what would become of my stash in the case of my untimely demise, but not of my blog. Thank you for the gentle reminder.

What a lovely dark sense of humor you have. I could really have fun with this (she said, chuckling evilly)...

This is so morbid! That's ok, though, it's reminded me to have this conversation with my DH. He's tech-savvy enough to post at least a goodbye note to my blog.

I am lucky as I have 2 girls who knit & blog too, so they will be able to carry on the legacy!

I've thought of this a lot, too! My hubby doesn't read my blog, so he probably wouldn't even think about it.
BTW~ I figured out why I can't read your blog! It doesn't work in Firefox. I decided to test it out in IE and it's fine here. So I guess I'm just going to have to use IE when you update! :D

I share my blog with my sister, so hopefully we won't both go out together! I have already told my DH that he is not, under any circumstances, allowed to touch my stash or [especially] my signed Alice St*rmore books unless under the direct supervision of my sissie. Who but another knitter would understand the value of these rareties?

Funny! My husband and I have had this conversation, and he has had lessons in how to post to the blog in case of my demise. He also has strict instructions NOT to just give my entire stash away to charity. It's worth a hell of a lot, and I've worked hard to accumulate it!
