Need I Say More?

Of course I do.

Thank you Nancy! It was a fun contest, and for a great cause, you're a good one.

Thank you Michelle! If you don't stop spoiling me, you may have to adopt me. Really.

Pattern here

Mods: I used US size 13s for the body and US 5s for the bottom and strap. A quick knit with 2 balls of cotton.

A Piece of Vermont

Bridget tagged me for a meme: I am to open the book I am reading, turn to page 161, and read the fifth sentence. After I share it with you, I am to tag five other bloggers. Like I told Bridget, don't expect Shakes Beer from me. Here goes: We keep a supply right there in that little cedar box.

The fact that I'm reading anything surprises me. If you would like to share your 5th sentence of page 161, please do, I would love to see.

Happy holiday shopping! I'm done.

Looks like Christmas came a bit early for you!

Oh goody, 30 more days to shop for myself since the kids are now old enough to decide what they want for themselves ;-)

kay... pg.161 5th sentence...
"He threw the directory in the floor and sat with his hands at the top of the steering wheel."
From: No Country For Old Men ~ a novel by Cormac McCarthy.
Meantime.... I don't know that my neglectful parenting skills (too much knitting ~ I know the kids are around here somewhere) will get me through the adoption agency... how bout I come out to Fla and just abduct ya to my LYS?!

Wow, lots of nice pictures, I'm intrigued ...

I think the book meme is funny, when you see what sentences come up. Yours is excellent, at first I thought it was just another sentence in your post ...

Ok re your meme...I was googling myself once (yes, I'm that dorky) and found someone who had memed the page 161 of a textbook I wrote. Pretty darned freaky.

Beautious yarn, btw.

You must be the luckiest person I know Carol, you win everything!! :)

How's the new job going?

The meme: pg. 161, sentence 5

"Get your yarn and the needles you might use with that weight(Hint:It tells you on the ball band)."

Guess what book I'm reading? :)

Great goodies! I'm not reading any particular book at the moment, so picking one off the shelf...

(hmm, that book has really long sentences... trying again...)

(hmm, Hardy... way too depressing...)

Here we go:

It is Frank Churchill's duty to pay this attention to his father.

From Emma by Jane Austen, which I haven't read, so I can't tell you what attention Frank has neglected to pay.

I love your Vermont Yarn and what a cute bag! I hope you are feeling well and your career is moving along nicely at your new job.

Here is my 5th sentence from page 161 "In all, the task force was compsed of about five hundred personnel, including recon, decon, and medical support specialists."

How weird, I just pulled out my book to give you the 5th sentence on page 161 and it turns out that was the last page I read during lunch before I put the book down. Freaky! Anyway, p 161, sentence 5 "What if she wrote it and it was rubbish and Laura had to rewrite it herself?" (Getting Rid of Matthew by Jane Fallon)

I just love your Happy Bunnies. They always make me smile.
